Wood, wood and more wood.
Well the earth shuddered a few times this week. It has been an exciting few days. The weather window for harvesting the wood was quickly closing when suddenly all the stars aligned, great weather and the right people to help us achieve this.
The first macrocarpa being felled. These guys made it look easy.
Curved branches and twisted trunks which are less desirable for milling make ideal parts for our tree.
Getting the timber offsite and the truck loaded. Weather permitting there are still a few trips to make before it all makes its way back home.
